In the summer we provide a full range of self-catered chalet and apartment accommodation to suit everyone, some with options for catered or delivered meals. Les Gets (1175m) is a picturesque Haute-Savoie village in the Portes du Soleil area of the French Alps, 30 mins south of Lake Geneva. Les Gets is a perfect starting point for all parts of the region, with easy access to endless sight-seeing destinations such as the beautiful town of Annecy, the city of Geneva, and the medieval town of Yvoire situated on the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman). Chamonix in the towering Mont-Blanc range (at 4810m Europe's highest summit) is less than an hour's drive, and Italy 30 minutes further.

Les Gets offers the perfect range of activity holidays to suit most demands. For those who enjoy summer pursuits on two wheels there are kilometres of cross-country trails and down-hill tracks. Across the Portes du Soleil there are 22 lifts open throughout the summer. For walkers there are mapped-out routes to take in the scenery at leisure, with countless areas to stop for picnics and absorb the breathtaking alpine views.

If you haven't tried paragliding then now's your chance! First flights accompanied by a qualified guide are offered from around 60 euros a flight. Don't forget your camera, the view is out of this world! Initiation and advanced courses are available at between 300 and 400 euros for the course.

Riding the alpine trails by mountain bike is one of the more popular pursuits following the numerous marked routes. Although Bike-Fax is no longer around, there still might be some of their award-winning guidebooks available, containing maps and very useful information for mountain biking. A few years ago they published an excellent guide for the Les Gets and Morzine areas.
