The Tour de France 2010 has arrived and left Morzine-Avoriaz. The following information gives an overview of the stage.

Starting in Rotterdam the Tour ran from Saturday 3rd of July to Sunday 27th July 2010. The 97th Tour consisted of a prologue and 20 stages covering some 3600 km's. On Sunday the 11th of July the Tour left Station des Rousses for Morzine-Avoriaz, covering 189km. The map profile shows Les Gets as part of the route. This was followed by a rest day in Morzine before departing on Tuesday the 13th July for Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.

Overview of events 11th - 13th July 2010
Sunday 11th July:
Tour de France passes through Les Gets and arrives in Avoriaz at the end of the 8th stage - Les Rousses to Morzine/Avoriaz.

5.00pm : Tour de France arrives in Avoriaz, relayed via giant TV Screen to the square by the Morzine Tourist office.

7.00pm: Free live concerts throughout the streets of Morzine organised in conjunction with the local bars and restaurants.

9.00pm: Replay of the Football World Cup final on the giant TV screen in the square by the Morzine Tourist office – No need to miss out!

Monday 12th July :
Rest day and Celebrations

Tuesday 13 July :
Start of the 9th stage of the Tour de France – Morzine/Avoriaz to St Jean de Maurienne, departing from the Place de l'Office du Tourisme in Morzine.
