Launched in January 2011, Les Gets invested 4.5 million euros in upgrading its Chavannes telecabine. The new 6-person gondolas provides a faster link between the village centre and popular Chavannes ski area with an increased capacity from 900 to 1600 people per hour!

As well as the main attraction of winter sports, there are several events planned for the winter season in Les Gets and Morzine including:

Over Christmas and New Year: Visit Father Christmas in his cabin at Les Gets. Walk through the enchanted forest accompanied by Christmas elves and watch Santa preparing his presents for delivery!

January: The Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont-Blanc long-distance sledge race. The world's best husky dog handlers come to the Portes du Soleil for this tough and spectacular event. With stages starting and finishing in the streets of Morzine and Les Gets, there will be much additional entertainment to celebrate the race.

March 2012: Ebouelle Contest. This sports, original and spectacular event gathers riders confirmed for Competition-Show Freestyle Ski and Snowboard. The concept rests on the glide, the graphic arts and the music for this 6th edition.

2nd FESTIVAL DES CONCERTS SAUVAGES: Meet us in 2012 from 21 to 25 March, for gigs in totally wild locations of the Portes du Soleil slopes that have to be seen to be believed...
