The Tour de France is passing through Les Gets and arriving at Morzine-Avoriaz on 11 July.

11th - 13th July:

The Tour de France 2010 takes in the villages of Les Gets and Morzine for the first mountain stage, a decisive stage for the remainder of the race and an excuse for three days of celebration!

Sunday 11th July:
Tour de France passes through Les Gets and arrives in Avoriaz at the end of the 8th stage - Les Rousses to Morzine/Avoriaz.

5.00pm : Tour de France arrives in Avoriaz, relayed via giant TV Screen to the square by the Morzine Tourist office.

7.00pm: Free live concerts throughout the streets of Morzine organised in conjunction with the local bars and restaurants.

9.00pm: Replay of the Football World Cup final on the giant TV screen in the square by the Morzine Tourist office – No need to miss out!

Monday 12th July : Rest day and Celebrations

• Live music throughout the streets of Morzine.
• Exciting demonstrations of Mountain or BMX biking and a welcome drink.
• Live concerts.

Tuesday 13 July :
Start of the 9th stage of the Tour de France – Morzine/Avoriaz to St Jean de Maurienne, departing from the Place de l'Office du Tourisme in Morzine.

18-24 July French Paragliding Open and Championships – The Mont Chery area, Les Gets, is host to paragliders competing in the French Open Competition and Championships.

24-25 July Western in Les Gets – Official Western horse riding competition with horse show, dancing and live music.

14 Aug Trail des Hauts Forts – 2 mountain races (long 43km race and shorter 21km race) through the beautiful Portes du Soleil landscape. Starting in Morzine and finishing in Avoriaz.

2-4 Sep 62nd Mont Blanc rally – One of the finest mountain rallies around, the Mont Blanc-Morzine rally races around the resort of Morzine.
