If you've booked your accommodation with us, we can also arrange your airport transfer direct to and from your chalet or apartment in Morzine or Les Gets. You will be met at the airport by a welcoming driver at the Arrivals gate, and taken directly to your accommodation in resort. Journey time to and from the airport is usually just over an hour, but this can increase considerably during peak periods and disruptive weather conditions. If you're coming by rail, transfers to/from the nearest station can also be arranged. The nearest station is at Cluses (around 25 mins to Les Gets, 30 mins to Morzine), but there are also trains to Thonon-les-Bains (around 40 mins to Morzine, 45 mins to Les Gets) Just contact us for a quotation giving the date of your holiday, the name of your accommodation and the number of passengers. This service is exclusive to Alpine Pursuits customers. Tip Keep your passport with you, rather than packing it away after you leave the airport, as you might need it crossing the Swiss-French border on your way to Morzine or Les Gets. The same goes for the return journey back to the airport. Tip The airport bars and restaurants usually accept Euros, so you won't have to obtain Swiss Francs if you're looking for refreshments there. They usually accept credit cards as well. To and From Geneva Airport Geneva Airport has a Swiss and a French side. Most passengers are directed to the Swiss side, whereas passengers flying from French airports are usually directed to the French sector and treated as internal flight passengers. For passengers arriving from the UK or other international destinations and heading for the Alps (even the French Alps), it is much quicker and easier to arrive at the Swiss sector and go from there. The French sector is smaller, much less convenient and difficult to negotiate from and to by road. |
